Albert Pulido is currently the Deputy Secretary for Finance and Technology in the New York State Executive Chamber. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing a number of state agencies and policies, including the Department of Financial Services, the Department of Taxation and Finance, the New York State Insurance Fund, the Office of Information Technology Services (ITS), the State’s broadband expansion efforts, and technology policy, including AI. He is focused on furthering the governor’s agenda, which includes promoting a fairer financial services system, bridging the digital divide, improving digital services for New Yorkers, and promoting the responsible use of emerging technology.
Prior to his appointment, Albert served as the Director of Citywide Operations at New York City Hall, where he oversaw the City’s technology, procurement, and pensions agencies, in addition to the City’s broadband expansion efforts. He holds a BA from Cornell University and an MFA in Fiction Writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
