Tobie Lochner is the founder, CEO and co-portfolio manager of Cuthman Capital, a South African based hedge fund management company. Cuthman Capital manages the award winning global multi strategy Cuthman SDR fund, with an innovative product structure which is the first of its kind in the market. Cuthman Capital prides itself on its investor alignment via substantial co-investments by principals and all staff.

Prior to founding Cuthman Capital in 2018, Tobie started his investment career at an established South African hedge fund in 2006. During his 11 year tenure he gained experience as an investment analyst and portfolio manager and acted as the Managing Director for 7 years, during which time the funds won a number of best performance awards.

Tobie qualified as a Chartered Accountant and is a CFA charter holder.

Tobie is married to Suretha and they have three young children. In his free time, Tobie competes in equestrian events, plays golf and enjoys ski and bush holidays.
