Drake Pooley is the Global Head of Strategic Initiatives at General Catalyst, one of the largest venture capital firms in the world. At GC, he leads policy, partnerships, and relationships that further General Catalyst's mission and investment priorities around the world, particularly around AI and technology partnerships between the US, Europe, and India.
His work has been published in the New York Times, Harvard Business Review, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post and he has been profiled by CNBC. Across his career, he has worked in ten different industries and been to seventy two countries.
Drake holds a B.S. from Auburn University, an M.S. from the University of Virginia, an M.Sc. from ESADE Business School (Barcelona, Spain), and an MBA from Stanford University, where he served as class president. But he's most proud of being a public school kid, and the son of a Wal-Mart store employee and a shoe salesman.
