Michael Weston-Murphy manages a content team at Bloomberg Philanthropies that works across all the foundation’s programs, communicating impact and strategy to the leadership team, the board, and internal audiences. The team’s storytelling portfolio also includes managing branding and design. Michael previously served as a speechwriter for the foundation’s leadership team.

Prior to Bloomberg Philanthropies, his experience includes marketing, communications, board management, program management, and fundraising at the Archdiocese of New York, where he was campaign manager for the Restoration of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and New York University, where he helped run the Social Sector Leadership Diversity Fellowship.

Michael earned his MPA from NYU’s Robert F. Wagner School of Public Service, where he was a Lisa Ellen Goldberg Fellow. He is a cum laude graduate of Boston College, where he received the Finneran Commencement Award. Originally from the Connecticut Shoreline, Michael has been a proud Queens resident for almost 15 years, where he lives with his wife and 2-year-old daughter.
