Julie Werry
Scholar Advisor, Morehead-Cain Foundation

Julie Werry is a Scholar Advisor at the Morehead-Cain Foundation where she works with college students during their formative years at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Prior to joining the Morehead-Cain Foundation in 2020, Julie spent her career in Development working for Teach For America,  Right To Play International and Robin Hood.  During her decade at Robin Hood, Julie worked on multiple teams including Leadership Gifts, Events and Donor Relations.  She still leans on the lessons she learned and the mentors she gained during her time at New York City's poverty-fighting powerhouse.

Julie holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she was a Morehead-Cain Scholar, and a Masters in Public Policy from Georgetown University.  She currently serves on UNC - Chapel Hill's Board of Visitors and Chapel Hill Carrboro School District's PTA Council where she serves as Advocacy Chair.  Julie lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, two daughters and loveable labradoodle.
