James is an investor at Sora Investors where he focuses on public equities across the renewable energy, mobility, robotics, and advanced manufacturing sectors. He previously worked at Sidewalk Labs, an Alphabet company focused on cities, where he helped launch Cityblock Health, a "tech-driven provider for communities with complex needs," and spent his time on projects looking to leverage technology to improve city services. He started his career in consulting at Bain and Company.

James serves on the board of The Campaign Against Hunger, a Brooklyn-based nonprofit, and is a member of Robin Hood's Rising Leaders Collective.
