Co-founder, KindWork

Kate is the co-founder of KindWork, an impactful youth-serving workforce development program focused on supporting young adults in launching customer and operations-focused careers in the tech sector. Under Kate's leadership, KindWork has grown its scale and impact by more than 2.5X in four years. Now partnered with Brooklyn Workforce Innovations, KindWork enrolls four cohorts of aspiring young technologists a year through the Customer Experience Fellowship. KindWork leverages technology to drive successful outcomes in many ways, including introducing an innovative introductory course to generative AI applications, building internal AI tools to support staff, and participating in industry research on AI applications. Prior to KindWork, Kate held leadership roles in several tech companies including Uber, RLY, and Skona Advertising. Kate started her career in New York City's public schools as a Special Education teacher working with high schoolers at risk of not obtaining their high school diploma. Kate is passionate about the K-12 to post-secondary success continuum and believes in the power of technology to drive impact.
