Daniel joined Girls Who Code in 2021 as their first Chief Program Officer, and in this role he oversees programs spanning elementary grades through early career and reaching over 100,000 students each year.
Prior to joining Girls Who Code, Daniel served as the Vice President of Curriculum and Instruction for New Visions for Public Schools, where he supported the development of full-course high school curricula and curriculum-based professional learning. He also held a variety of positions at the City University of New York, including as the director of a dual enrollment program in the South Bronx and as the founding director of a citywide program preparing community college-bound students. He began his career as a history and English teacher.
Daniel holds a B.A. in English from Columbia University, an M.A. in English from Brown University, and a Ph.D. in urban education with a concentration in education policy and leadership from the CUNY Graduate Center.
