Caroline Pugh is Partner and COO of Era. Era is a technology-focused investment firm backed by 40+ industry-leading, multi-billion families whose businesses represent $500B+ across 25 industries in 19 countries. Era harnesses the collective knowledge and strategic capital of our families to back and build a new era of technology companies that are posed to solve society’s greatest industrial challenges.

Prior to Era, Caroline worked as an advisor and technology strategist to a single-family office in Silicon Valley. Currently, she is a board member for the Mandela Institute of Humanity and serves on the Advisory Board of MoDA Partners, a single-family office based in the US.

Prior to working with family offices, Caroline was a tech entrepreneur and operator. She started her entrepreneurial journey in college at the age of 19 where she founded a technology startup that developed 3D human scanning technology.

Pugh subsequently served as Chief of Staff to Aneesh Chopra, former Chief Technology Officer of the United States under President Obama. In addition, Caroline was the first employee at CareJourney, a healthcare data analytics company that Chopra began with serial entrepreneur, Sanju Bansal, co- founder of MicroStrategy (NYSE:MSTR).

She was named by Entrepreneur Magazine one of the “Top 15 Female Entrepreneurs to Watch” and Aspen Institute Spotlight Health fellow.
